2004 Commercial Project
The Community Building exemplifies the hottest trend in retirement care communities—a desire to live a thoroughly active lifestyle. Therefore, the amenities built into the facility accommodate the needs of both independent and dependent seniors. The project is the first in the state to be recognized by the PA Department of Insurance as an accredited CCRC (Continuum of Care Retirement Community).
The heavy double doors proclaim the solidity of the building and open to an interior room bustling with activity. An oversized, tiled entryway serves as a comfortable welcoming conversation area.
In the adjacent media room a surround sound system enhances the enjoyment of the movie club. Residents gather around the big screen television, make popcorn in the kitchen, and just have a good time. It is in the well-appointed kitchen that potluck dinners are prepared and breakfast coffee shared.
The social room, by virtue of its name, is a lifestyle indicator, a relaxed gathering place where resident attend tai chi classes, kick up their heels on the dance floor, play cards and shoot the breeze about WWII. A library and a non-denominational chapel offer quiet places for introspection.
