Endless Pool in Wellness Facility

An ’Endless Pool’ that works similar to an escalator but is built for use in water was constructed within a clubhouse on the grounds of an independent and dependent retirement care community.  Swimmers in the pool individually control, from within the pool area, water temperature, and current of the pool.  A recirculation system on the sides, comprised of stainless steel benches, returns the water back to the propulsion unit area again so that it is a constant cycle.

Endless Pool works similar to an escalator but is built for use in water.

To maintain a comfortable, conditioned pool area a ‘Desert Aire’ system was installed.  The system recovers “heat energy that is normally lost through evaporation of pool water.  Humid air is drawn into the dehumidifier and is discharged as warm, dry air.”  The desired humidity set on the panel box establishes at what point a rise in humidity will automatically start the system.

A bank of windows and sliding patio doors bring the outdoors into an area that might otherwise feel confining and allow residents to easily access the adjacent patio and lounge chairs after a workout.
